This workshop is part of the hands-on program at FOSS4G Hokkaido 2026. You will try publishing QGIS maps on the web with Kumoy and sharing them with a team.
Workshop features
- Kumoy (pronounced “kumoi”) is a cloud service that lets you publish and share maps made in QGIS as web maps, keeping their colors and styles.
- From creating an account to publishing a map and working together as a team, you learn the basic flow by doing it yourself.
- This workshop is a course eligible for GIS education certification.

- Creating a Kumoy account and setting up a project
- Creating a map in QGIS and publishing it on the web with the Kumoy plugin
- Sharing maps and setting access permissions
- Working on map data together with other users

This workshop is for people who can do basic QGIS operations.

Preparation
Bring a laptop with QGIS 3.44 installed.
